Hello, fellow Anteaters! We hope you all are having a fantastic and restful spring break.

If you are taking Chem 1LC this coming quarter, then please be on the lookout for BISA’s annual Chem 1LC Workshop on March 27th, 2021 from 8-9 pm (PDT)!

Historically, general chemistry labs have been the most challenging lower-division courses for students majoring in STEM at UCI. They are content-heavy, fast-paced, and require the use of a variety of online tools and software that are new to college students.

Fortunately, BISA has got you covered! We will be hosting a Chem 1LC workshop to help you better prepare with the course material and tools that Chem 1LC will be using and share advice from past students who have succeeded in general chemistry labs both in-person and online. It is also a great opportunity for you to ask questions in case you have difficulty setting up certain online tools or software before the quarter starts!

Time: 8:00-9:00pm, Mar 27th, Saturday
Location: Zoom

Are you currently looking for a job, a summer internship, a research opportunity, or in the process of applying to grad schools that will require a RESUME? We will be having Professor Jennifer Maitland, who is currently the professor of Bio 3B course and the academic counselor at the Department of Biological Sciences at UCI, speak at our workshop. In addition to all the tips and tricks for writing a general resume, Professor Maitland will also be going over how you can apply your research experience and other applicable skills to write a strong resume!

Time: 7:00-9:00pm, Nov 6th, Friday
