The Academic and Professional Department, as one of the essential departments of BISA, plans and conducts various academic and career-related workshops and activities with the purpose of providing the most useful information to all UCI Biology-related major students.

 

Examples of our workshop topics include research opportunities at UCI, curriculum plan, graduate school application, Bio Sci 199 undergraduate research, scientific writing skills, professional resume, etc.

 

Our goal is to provide guidance to students who need more information or introduction academically. Members of our department will learn to organize and conduct workshops, design posters, publish popular science articles, collaborate with other Bio-related major students, develop presenting and event planning skills, gain first-hand information, and get advice from senior schoolmates.

 

We are here to support you to succeed in your academic and professional life at UCI and even after graduation.
